Kurt Laughed, and went into the room. The way her eyes sparkled, and her face lit up made his heart pound. Yeah, he was definitely attracted to this woman in all sorts of ways. Attraction was there, but were personalities going to match? That was the question. He hoped so, as when she snuggled up to him and he stood straight instead of slouching she fit against him like a glove. She felt good next to him even if she was slightly taller then him.
He put on the suit and liked the way he looked in it. He could see himself in an old fashioned fidora but he didn't know if they were still around. He stepped out in his stocking feet as the shoes he was wearing while dressy were not the type of dressy that would look good with this suit. It would have to be hemmed a bit but he always had to get his pants hemmed.
She was going to get him a completely new outfit...pants, shoes, shirt, hat, and something else but she hadn't decided on exactly what yet. The fedora wouldn't exactly match, but he needed to be himself so she wouldn't be the one to disagree. Besides, in the fashion industry it is all considered art. "Still needs something hmmm." she said as she looked through her arms. Gabby peeked her head around the corner and tossed him a fedora. "There you go. Try that." She said before she disappeared around the corner. Betsy just smiled. She didn't like it, but if Kurt liked it, then she was happy. "We are going to put some blue jeans with that to make it a little more casual, and get you some ankle boots." She said as she pulled a few rhinestone bracelets and earrings from the rack. "I'm ready when you are, Kurt." She said sweetly as she looked through the sunglasses.
He tilted his head. It looked good, but the fedora wasn't it he supposed. He took it off. "It does need something, but it isn't the hat. maybe cuff links?" He asked, stumped. "I do like it though. A lot." He smiled his fanged smile. At least his teeth were white though. And they were made even whiter looking with the dark indigo of his skin and fur. on his face. He nodded his head in agreement to all she said. Jeans were something he already wore, and he liked dressing up so she wasn't doing anything that he didn't like.
He cocked his head again, and then went to go change back into his clothes so they could leave and go somewhere else. He came back out with the suit under his arm and her dress the suit was a pretty penny too, but he didn't mind. He actually needed more nice suits the ones he owned were a bit out dated. So the suit that was bought last weekend and this one would at least make two that were up to date.
He still couldn't believe that Logan had been dragged to shopping and a show. It just went to show just what he would do for his girls, and he was sure that he would do even more for his own daughter too. His mind wondered to what was going to happen when Laura, Kitty, and Rogue got together and knew that Laura was his daughter, flesh and blood. She hoped the two younger girls would treat her right, Laura was older, but she seemed socially retarded much like Logan. It would be interesting to see what would happen between those two being so similar in attitude.
Gabby rang the items up quickly at the counter and waited for a form of payment when there was a bright flash followed by several more bright flashes. "Don't look behind you Kurt." She said with a smile as the total was rang up and on the register screen. "That will be $15,000." She said with a smile as she waited for his tender. Betsy knew what had happened. "You foul woman. You called them didn't you!" She said accusatorily. The woman smiled and replied simply. "I called them. I gotta pay bills too..." She paused for a moment. "I locked the front doors though. You guys leave from the back. I have everything set up." She said with a smile. Betsy wasn't incredibly thrilled with it, but turned her head around and gave a model gaze for the papparazzo to feast on for a while, as she broke the springs in their cameras that held the battery in place, which meant that their cameras would depower and give them time to get away. Betsy realized that Kurt was only to pay for her dress. "Wait love." She said as she pulled out $10,000 cash from her purse and handed it to Gabby. "That is a little more fair." She just couldn't ask Kurt to shell out that kind of money for her, even though he was willing, she wasn't ready for that yet.
Kurt blinked. He was not used to people being un-loyal. How could she do this to Betsy. He glared at the women, and only because he was thinking more about Betsy he said nothing for her paying for it all. He wasn't into ego, he was into safety, privacy, and Betsy's well being. That came first. Anyway, he knew that at some point things would even out between them. He would do something for her at some point, it wouldn't maybe be expensive, but he hoped thought to was part of her personality. He had a feeling it was. She had already seemed very sentimental, so he knew if he just put thought into something no matter what it was if it was done with care, and kindness it would still get its effect out.
"Do you vant me to teleport us out, or just use the back?" He asked, concern for her all over his face, and he couldn't help it he turned to the woman, and said "If you do anything like this to any of your other clients let alone Betsy again, and I hear about it I vill come and haunt your dreams. I don't look like this for fun, I can be your vorse nightmare." No, nothing he said was true, but she didn't know that and maybe it would make her think twice to back stab any of her other more popular clients with the paparazzi.
Betsy just smiled. "Keep smiling Kurt, we don't know where they all are." She said with a smile as she grabbed the bag and said thank you and led him out the backdoor. "Whoooh!" She said with excitement! "Not everyday that happens." She said and started laughing. "You pretty much kept your cool. You do have some celebrity in you!" She said as she gave him a playful hug. "Wanna get some shoes. I have a friend who manages a shoe store. She is really cool, and I think you will like her." She said with a smile. "But, you can't like her more than me or we will have to leave." She said with a hearty laugh. How could she not let things like papparazzo bother her? Easy, she had been dealing with it for years. They were out doing their jobs, so how could she blame them. "If it weren't for them, I wouldn't even be a celebrity." She reminded him as she pulled out her phone and dialed a number. "Hey, Irene! Yeah, it's Betsy. I'm well, yeah yeah, uh huh! I have a very very good friend with me and we were going to come by and get some shoes." She said with a smile, and even Kurt could hear what Irene screamed out. "YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!! I CAN SEE HIM!!! HE'S BLUE!!!" Irene screamed through the phone with excitement. "I'll be here. I'm putting the closed sign up. Got chased then didn't you. Just come on in, you know the drill. Pamina is working the counter. Tell her I'll be there soon." Irene said as she hung up the phone. "Come on Kurt. Seems you have a fan." She said with a silly smile as she hooked her arm into his and walked with him through the alley and onto the street where all the paparazzo were trying to get their cameras to work.
He didn't know who this Irene was, and he really wasn't looking forward to have his blue, mug seen on the cover of anything and... Did she just yell into the phone for even him to hear that she was a boyfriend? However, that did get him smiling a bit, but yeah... not there yet. He hoped maybe eventually? He didn't want to push anything too fast. In his mind they were still getting to know each other. "Gets a bit excited, your friend?" He asked with a little glint of humor in his eyes.
"You lead the way. Not sure vhere ve are going." He smiled again. This should be fun. He was just on one adventure or another, but he didn't mind it was better then sitting around doing nothing or grading boring papers.
She smiled. "She does get a little excited. She has a rather unusual power, which is really neat." She said with a smile as they slinked away from the paparazzo, who were all still wondering how all their cameras could run out of power at the same time. They were so busy, they didn't even seem to notice the blue man, and the celebrity walk down the sidewalk. It was only a few blocks and she could see the store. It looked rather rundown from the outside, but when she opened the door and they walked inside, clearly this was no run of the mill shoe store. It was decorated in a contempo mod form, and it smelled nice. "Hey Pamina, Irene said for us to just come right on in." Betsy said with a smile as Pamina walked to the front door, locked it, and drew the heavy curtains closed for privacy. "There you go then. Go ahead and have a look around." Pamina said as she went back to the counter. "Irene should be here any minute." She said with a smile.
Kurt wasn't quite as relaxed this time. The woman who had locked the door and closed the curtains seemed nice, and didn't seem to want to rat them out, but then again he was expecting any minute to have a man jump out with a camera in the store. He was sort of amusing to watch as he wondered around looking at all the types of shoes, he also seemed to be looking around him, and around things, or in things to see if anyone was hiding there. He then whispered to Betsy. "Do people do vhat that girl in that other store do to you often?" He couldn't imagine it as he knew that Betsy was popular, and once was a model but to him she was just pretty Betsy, with the bubbly personality, and spunk.
He started to relax a bit after a few and actually started to pay attention more to what he was looking at. She had said some boots. He looked around and found some picking them up, and carrying them with him. He wasn't sure if this was what she had in her minds eye, but it was a try anyway.
