It always made her a little sad whenever she thought about the discrimation mutants faced. With the glass of milk pressed against her lips, she allowed the smile to slip before she finished the drink. "It causes me enough trouble," she replied, going to the sink and washing out the glass before returning it to the cupboard.
The smile promptly returned. "Anyway, flying sounds so awesome and freeing. You'll totally have to give me a ride one day." Kitty stuck her tongue out, showing she was joking, even though the idea did seem fun.
When he thanked her, Kitty bowed. "Twas no trouble at all, Jay. I should probably get to bed, though." A quick glance at a nearby clock revealed that it was later than she should have been awake. With a sigh, she snagged the milk carton and traveled to the fridge, slipping it inside. Before she turned to go, she looked at Jay with a serious face. "Remember, two dougnuts." But her lips twitched and she couldn't refrain from smiling childishly before phasing through the wall, on her way back to the dorms.
