"Magic?" Kitty laughed again. "It might be delicious, but I'm pretty sure it's not magic. You still owe me two, though. No backing out on your offer."
She had placed two slices of bread down onto the plate and was now back at the fridge. "Ham and American cheese..." Her head ducked into the fridge, her fingers plucking to move other food around. "It seems like we have a go. So just ham and American, right? No pickles? Ketchup?" She wasn't quite sure why she was asking this since she'd already grabbed the ingredients and closed the door with a bump of the hip.
Kitty slid a few slices from the packaging and rolled them on the bread like she'd seen so many delis do. "Yep," she replied, grabbing another slice. "I can actually walk through almost anything. For instance --" Kitty deviated from the sandwich making, a sneaky smile on her face. "I think I'm a little thirsty."
The cupboard for the glasses was directly behind him. However, one of the doors was left unblocked. She snagged a glass from the lowest shelf and turned toward the fridge. On the way there she made both herself and the cup she was holding intangible so that when she walked forward, she didn't have to move an inch to avoid Jay's legs -- they went right through her. Once on the other side, she allowed her atoms to become dense once more and grabbed a carton of milk from the fridge again. The return to the counter happened the same way.
Once back to her original spot, she poured herself a glass of milk and drank before going back to making the sandwich. "And it seems like you've got a pair of really cool wings." Now she just needed a knife. Kitty pulled the drawer beside her and grabbed one, cutting Jay's sandwich in half before handing it to him with a goofy grin. "That is so awesome."
