"Let's see..." Kitty continued to rummage through fridge, picking apart everything on all of the shelves. Among the regular food, there was a half-eaten burger that was clearly not hers, a piece of lasagna that really looked as if it needed to be thrown out, and an open can of soup. Apparently, the fridge was pretty much useless.
Oh well. The next best thing was an apple. Closing the door, Kitty traveled to an open bowl of assorted fruit, picking through the bananas and grapefruits to get to the apples at the bottom. "Well, I could tell you that the soda was mine and how dare you take what isn't yours, but that'd be mean because I'd be lying." She was by the faucet now, the water trickling from the spout so that she could wash the apple. Once content, she turned the water off and bit into the fruit. "So feel free to drink to your heart's content.
"I'm Kitty, by the way." It was always best to get introductions out of the way as soon as possible. On a few occasions, Kitty had actually had several conversations with people whom she'd never introduced herself. People apparently liked putting name's to faces.
She took another bite of the apple, leaning against the counter. "Sooooo... Come here often?" Though a social butterfly by all means, sometimes small talk proved to be a little difficult for Kitty. It was an especially hard task when the person on the other end of the interaction seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood. Who am I to assume that he's in a bad mood? Maybe he's just not much of a talker. Well, she was praying it was the former, because quiet people were sometimes adament about not conversing. Of course, Kitty could always just go back to her room, but where was the fun in that? "Totally not picking you up, by the way. Just wanted to clear to the air about that."
