[Emma]
Who: Emma Frost
When: Sunday, July 27th, 2008; Afternoon.
Where: Xavier's Institute: Emma's Office
What: Ms. Frost is going over what information was provided to her about the school and its children. It isn't much really.
Rating: G.
Emma had asked Xavier to allow her access to student files for study. There had been long discussions before she even took this position about students and their privacy rights and, though Frost had agreed to abide by his rules, she still felt that she deserved to know what kind of little monsters she was being pitted up against. Sadly, the professor hadn't really felt the same and she only had access to limited information on each of the students - name, home town, birthdate, and a very short description of their histories up until this point. She assumed that these things were supposed to help her "get to know" the children. But that wasn't what she wanted to know. Emma Frost wanted to know about their abilities. She wanted to know which ones would be the most useful to her little group and which ones she should avoid at all costs. Apparently, she had not earned enough of the man's trust to be granted access to that information. Fine. She'd just figure out a way to earn his trust. She'd play the part of the sweet matron who loved and cared for them while gathering what information she needed. Frost shut down the computer she was accessing the information from and took a deep breath. This was going to take a lot longer than she had anticipated. She had thought that maybe it would be a couple months, tops, and then she would be back on her way to her high-society home. As far as she could tell, this could take years. Either Xavier did not hand out his trust as easily as she had been told or he knew that she had her own plans for these children. Could he really read her that easily? No, she was sure of that, but he could assume and be prepared. He was a smart one, this professor. He knew how to handle a woman like her and she did not like being "handled." This was a battle of wits and she was bound and determined to win it no matter how long it took. |
