The biggest splash in the pool was, no surprise here, Julian. He was the kind of kid who always cannonballing when he was young. Now, a cannonball was nothing to what a guy who could throw telekinetic blasts could do. There was what seemed like a meteor strike in the pool as he dived in, the little kids screaming and laughing at the same time as the wave of the impact rushed them up against the sides. Julian popped up laughing as the rain of water cascaded back down, winking at his friends.
Julian's parents thought it best that he stay in the school even during the summer, perhaps for obvious reasons. This was laying low for him and they preferred a bit more discretion. Rocketing through the water at jet type speeds, Julian came up lounging against the wall in the shallow end. The younger kids flocked around laughing. He didn't mind them, they tended to flock to him and he'd play around with them. He was wondering where everybody was though. Who would skip a pool party BBQ?
