Usually, Emma Frost prided herself in being on time. This time, she took pleasure in being a little late. Two days late actually. The time she had been spending with a male "friend" in New York City proper was just too good for her to just leave him. He wouldn't had liked it if she had left him chained to that wall for the maids to find either so she at least had to stay long enough for him to earn his keys back. Wasn't that what a good mistress did? Besides that, any classes she was supposed to have weren't slated to start until sometime in August so she was good. Not that she really understood why in the world this man wanted her teaching classes. Oh, she knew why The Hellfire Club wanted her there, but to arrange it with Charles Xavier was like stepping into the mouth of hell. Children... she hated children. They were such whiners and none of them had any real sense in their heads like she had at their ages. It was just disgusting, the thought of having to stay in the same place as these creatures when she could just go straight back to New York and have all the fun that a little rich girl could buy. The woman removed her oh-too-expensive sunglasses as she stepped through the front door of the mansion-school. Why in the world would someone want to turn something as splendid as this old mansion into a school for children? Ugh. It made her groan and the woman almost turned around to step back into the limo that had delivered her, but the driver had orders not to let her leave. Per their darling black king. Damn that man for making her come here. If he was so interested in these kids, why didn't he come down here and do this shit? Emma didn't want to. She didn't have to! Oh, yes she did. She had to do it because she had lost out on the cosmic lottery. The driver brought her things up into the foyer that she was currently doing nothing, but standing in and then turned tail. She should have melted his brain, but Emma was pretty sure that he probably had some sort of shields or protection. Plus, that would probably not be the best thing to do on her first day here. Kill a man and you might be asked to leave, but it might not look good on the evening news - no matter how much money you had. Instead, Emma just nibbled on the earpiece of her sunglasses and waited for someone to come downstairs. Not like she couldn't find her place herself considering she'd donated so much money to the place that she practically owned the second set of dorms, but she was trying to be polite. He would send someone for her if he didn't come himself and they would show her to her place with more questions than she really cared to answer. Brats... all of them. |
