Summer was Shiro's favorite season mainly because he loved the sun. He couldn't get enough of it. It was like whenever he got in contact with the sun's raise, he was instantly energized. It was like the equivalent of a cup of coffee for most people. Or several. On this particular day, the mutant more commonly known as Sunfire, decided to go for a walk. It was almost autumn and he would not have this benefit soon enough.
Like Remy, Shiro stayed behind for the summer. It gave him extra time to get his High School work out of the way. Only a year left. He missed two years of High School because he had run away when his powers emerged. Now that he reconciled with his father who had been constantly on business and to a degree his sister, he had to get his life on track again. Time to forget the years he spent as a dog to the Yakuza. The people he murdered because he owed a debt to them. He hadn't spoken to anyone about that although he had a feeling his father knew and his sister is smarter that he gives her credit for. It was a life he preferred not to think about.
Not that he liked Xavier's School so much. It was okay but he often found people around him were too idealistic. Humans will seek to hurt those they find different than themselves or they use it up until there is nothing left. He also disliked the lack of freedom at the Institute. Sometimes, he just wanted to leave but a promise he gave his father caused him to stay.
Approaching the mansion, Shiro pondered if he wanted to go back inside or not. He was at the basketball court at this time and didn't want to go inside just yet. Instead, he took out a cigarette and lit it up and took a long drag. Hearing the dribbling of a ball, he looked over and saw Remy shooting hoops. He offered a friendly smile in greeting.
