Zap laughed at Conlan's remarks of Amus' room. Yeah. Car buff. He'd probably get along well with most of the guys around the mansion - or the ones Zap spoke with most (Ronan, Forge, Pete). And Scott. She missed Scott. He was always so dry. It made her laugh. She smiled at that thought before tuning back in to what her nephew was saying. She reached up and ruffled his shaggy hair. "That's what I do best, sugar." She'd married Mars, after all. And her best friends were a technophile and a basket of emotions. T-r-o-u-b-l-e.
She looked to Conlan when he asked after his brother. "He went to smoke. He's down to a few a day now. And I've stocked up on sugar-free gum." Between the booze, cigarettes and candy, he was a bundle of nerves. She'd gotten him to cut back on all three. Though, Zap didn't mind the booze as much. Usually it just made things more interesting. Cutting an Irishman off from alcohol was like clipping a bird's wings. No fun at all.
"Don't date a smoker, guys." Luckily, most of the younger women (and men) around the school abstained from tobacco products. She headed back for her laptop debris. "At least it gives him an excuse to get me out of his hair every now and then." She could've hung around him every second of the day, though. Easier said than done.
