Scott wasn't the only one trying to figure out how to deal with what had happened to Alex. Still, he had needed to rest. And while he might have expected to have Scott stop by, (Jean Paul had a sister and could understand such things) he hadn't expected it to be in his room during the day. Nor did he expect the usually by the rules Scott Summers to wake him in such a manner.
The break of the door had started to wake him, but the sunlight on his skin helped speed up the process considerably. There was a hiss and and tossing of sheets as Jean Paul exited the now sundrenched bed for the relative safety of a shadowy corner. The only other safe place in the room would have been the closet to the side of the windows. However that would mean moving past said windows and closer to the cursedly painful light.
When Jean Paul had first come to the school, long before zombies and vampires and his own current situation, he had loved this room. He enjoyed the way the light played about and set his bed so he could watch the sunrise... or sunset as his mood wished. His computer was placed so he could look outside for the occasional inspiration with minimal glare on the screen. Mirrors were placed so that he could have the best possible natural lighting as he used them. Those mirrors were gone now, each and every one of them. His computer was moved so the screen no longer faced the bed at all. The shutters that Scott had torn down had actually been more recent additions, replacing the more gossimer drapes he had once preferred. The room had been changed and no longer reflected the man who had once lived here.
Northstar raised his head imperiously as he looked over at Scott by the window. He dare... intrude... Eyes narrowed. He was quick, had it not been for that accursed light... and perhaps it was better that Scott had done things this way. Because Jean Paul knew something wasn't right with him and he knew all too well what was wrong. "Yes, Professor Summers? If it is about a romatic interlude, I'd have to say the timing is rather poor for me."
