Jeanne-Marie nodded, accepting that answer as truth. "Good." His change in phrase, saying he would be fine, proved to her that he was being honest with her. Her arms hugged her knees a little tighter, Jeanne-Marie letting her gaze roam the grounds. Her attention came back to Jean-Paul when he mentioned there was something else.
She listened closely, her mind warring with itself as she heard the information. Her disapproval of his life choices were still there in this mind, no matter what Aurora thought. But she'd come to know that she didn't have to agree, she only had to tolerate. If he made Jean-Paul happy, that was what mattered, not how he got to happy. "Oh." Her tone was slightly off, but she set her jaw. "Does he make you happy?"
