Galen sighed. He didn't want to get into a discussion about his brother around the kids. He may delude himself about a lot of things, but he knew his brother usually was not a PG rated issue. "Has he been here recently do you know?" That should be a safe enough question.
He was about to leave when one of the kids looked at them over the back of the couch. "Are you leaving?" A few more kids popped up like little prairie dogs at the question. "Don't leave." said another one. "Yeah, come on Plant guy. This movie is awesome." The first nodded. "All about being a GOOD guy. A superhero." In true kid fashion they started pestering him to stay
Oh goodness. Galen no experience in kids wanting something from him. He bit his lip as he felt torn. He didn't want to disappoint the kids. A side effect of generally being a nice guy. He wanted to find out what was going on with his brother. Something he had put off. Galen had been hoping that Jason would get out of whatever funk he was in NOW and come to him on his own. He hadn't. Hell, Galen didn't even have much of an idea of who Jason was taking to, if anyone, other than Xavier.
Galen glanced over at the pleading children and made a decision. Jason had been his life for a very long time. Jason had most of the control over everything they had done since Galen had been kicked out. Jason went and did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. Galen was always following after, getting no explanations and dealing with the aftermaths. Jason had just DECIDED again to cut his brother out with no explanation or even a by your leave. He glanced at Shan and Sam. It honestly seemed like they wouldn't mind if he stayed. Jason could take care of his own shit for a while longer.
Galen smiled and nodded. "Well, if you INSIST." He was starting to think that nothing he could do would help his brother be truely happy. At least he could take some time out to make the kids happy. Especially if it was as easy as staying around for another couple of hours. "I suppose it really isn't all that urgent."
