Brotherhood? There was no Brotherhood. Therefore, there was no future for the little organization, now was there?
It had been a good few months before they had even had a formal meeting and she (as well as her brother) figured the Brood was starting to disband. And with Rogue and Pyro leaving, they had been entertaining the idea of leaving the Brotherhood as well. Really, why should they even stay? It wasn't like the twins had a good relationship with their father. The only person she could foresee herself staying for was Thorn.... and her brother - if he ended up deciding to stay.
Even though she had her doubts about the so-called "future" of the Brotherhood, Wanda decided to humor Mystique and answer her question fairly. Why had she joined in the first place? Was it because she believed in Magneto's cause? To some extent, she did but, the main reason why she decided to become a member was because of her brother; he had wanted to join, because he had believed in Magneto's creed about mutant superiority, as well as fighting for mutant-kind in general.
Wanda, on the other hand, wasn't quite sure she thought mutants should rule the world... Nor did she believe that mutants were better than everyone else just because they had special abilities.
"I joined because my brother wanted to," she replied truthfully. "However," she continued, "I do believe in fighting for our kind." Prejudice against mutants was far and wide spread, and they didn't fight for their right to exist... who would?
