Wanda's opinions on most things changed from day-today (sometimes even hour-to-hour or minute-to-minute), and when it came to "their cause" it was no different.
There were days when she felt violence was the only retaliation against humanity's frequent acts of cruelty and there were days when she felt like peace was their only option. War was always an ugly affair; but homo-sapiens only seemed to understand bloodshed and brutality as the answers to anything they thought wasn't right.
The Scarlet Witch had come to know hatred and violence at an early age and those two things had led to the deaths of two people she loved dearly. Two people who had loved both her brother and herself like their own children, and they had been killed because they chose to keep them - even if they had "unnatural" abilities. They were the Devil's Spawn, according to the villager's ultra-conservative beliefs and they had to be destroyed....
Images of a burning house and bloodcurdling screams haunted Wanda's dreams often. It was a moment in time she would not easily forget, barring her gaining some form of dementia in her declining years.
But, to answer Mystique's question: How should this fight... this war be waged? Peace and violence seemed to be their only options and neither of them were a surefire way to win.
"I wish I had an answer," she said. "I do not think there is a best way to win."
