Okay. That was enough. 'Emma, shut it', said the Wolverine. "I agree." He moved to stand, finally, and stood beside Jean. Emma looked a bit less relaxed now - not so sure of herself.
"We know what happened. We were all there. And you're not cheering anyone up by drudging any of it up. So leave it alone. I don't mind discussing classwork or business with you Emma, but stay out of my head or you'll wish you had." He was threatening on his own behalf. He knew Jean could take care of herself - quite well, as a matter of fact. He turned his head purposefully toward Jean. "You know what's in here, what's real." His had gestured to his temple. Don't think Emma's changing my mind. If something changes for me, it will be from my own deductions and decisions. Not because of Emma's muckraking. He couldn't promise Jean his complete and total devotion and worship and loyalty as he might have back before the Phoenix incident, but for the time being, he was making his peace with what had happened and wanted to be near his wife.
He wanted to storm out of the room, but leaving Logan with Emma and Jean in this state just seemed cruel. Especially after his teammate had just acted like a decent guy. "Why don't you have that drink you were talking about, hm?" He looked into Emma's eyes then and intended to watch them until she left.
