Ronan took another step backwards, smirking at her all the while. "That's good ta hear." he said of the 'lady friends' comment. He shrugged his shoulders slightly at her next sentence. "Don' care much fer bairns, personally." Children (the younger ones, anyway) were loud, sticky fingered, nosy little people. He'd tried to play with her, but she'd turned his question back on him and he didn't want to go in circles.
"I'm not sure what game we're playin', lass. Ye seem like the type who takes what she wants, yet ye seem put off by the kind o' pie I prefer." Surely she didn't respect that he was in a relationship. He didn't want to work for her and he didn't need any friends, so his interest in her was beginning to wear thin.
