Who: Silver, Troy & Tabitha When: Friday, June 13, 2008 Where: To Troy's room! What: Confessions & Confusions Status: In Progress. Rating: PG
Diana had just finished speaking with... her father. Oh gods, she really needed to talk to someone about this. She was still slightly in a daze when she went looking for Tabitha.
Tabitha was sitting out on the patio, looking rather bored. But, this look was pretty normal, seeing as it was almost impossible to keep the girl entertained for more than a few minutes at a time. She had thought about pulling a prank on one of the unassuming do-gooders, but even that sort of lost its appeal over time. I mean, really, how many times could you sneak bombs into their food before it got old? Okay, well, never, but still! She wanted something to do something a little more challenging, a little more... dangerous.
Finding Tabs was fairly easy since she was in her usual spot. Diana headed straight towards her until she was right next to her friend. "Tabs," her voice was tight. "I need to talk to you. Well, you and Troy." She took her hand. "Come on, I don't think I can go through this more than once." her own hand trembled just slightly.
She had been in the midst of watching a couple birds fight over a twig when she heard Diana speak. At least it didn't seem like things would be boring for too long, but something about her voice was making Tabs feel, well, concerned. "Hey, sure," she said, deciding not to question her friend about what was on her mind just then and there. Tabby stood up from the chair she had been occupied shortly thereafter, and moved closer to Di. "Lead the way.”
Diana didn't waste anytime. As soon as it was obvious that Tabitha didn't need to be dragged somewhere and wasn't asking a million questions, she hurried to find out where Troy was. She had a few ideas.
After training a few times with Will, Troy had decided it was best to let the other guy stretch his wings a bit and figure himself out some (as well as his new mutation). So he had been in their room for nearly an hour while he figured out the tabs to Rufus Wainwright's Hallelujah. Switching from a piano accompaniment wasn't too hard. He was strumming along and humming the melody to himself during practice, and had relocated himself into the hallway. Better acoustics. As a joke, one of Will's ball caps was sitting between his feet (he wasn't going to put one of HIS hats on the floor in the hallway). He quieted his strumming when he noticed the two blondish women headed his way in a bit of a fuss. Hell. Boom Boom. "'lujah, hallelujah..." he murmured quietly before they got close enough to hear him. "What's the buzz?"
"No idea," said Tabby as the two of them (Diana and herself) were within range of the hydrokine. Her blue eyes wandered for a moment, taking notice that Troy had been strumming on a guitar. Okay, she had seen lamer hobbies... and playing an instrument seemed a good way to pass the time. But, there was no time to be sharing their interests, or lack thereof, or whatever. "Di's got something to share with the two of us," she continued, before she spared a glance over at her friend.
Diana glanced at Troy's door. She didn't want to have this discussion out her. "Yeah," she rubbed her arms nervously. "It's kind of ... " oh man she couldn't start this out here.”Is Will in? Can we use your room? It's really, really private."
Troy fought a smirk. 'Is Will in?' said the second of two blondes. 'Can we use your room?' He shook his head no, also using the gesture to shake his perversion. He moved to stand and gestured for the girls to open his door. Once it was, he toted his guitar under his arm and kicked the hat over the threshold. "You okay?" he said, speaking directly at Diana, then locking eyes before he eased his guitar back into its case.
For once, Tabby didn't have anything to add and followed the pair of them into the bedroom (she took extra care and shut the door behind them). While she stood there, waiting for Diana to break into her explanation for why she wanted to talk to the pair of them together. It seemed pretty serious, judging how Di was acting. Though, Tabby did have some idea what the news might include: Sabretooth. He seemed to be weighing heavily upon the girl's mind. And she remembered he played a big part of the conversation the last time the two of them had gotten together.
Diana rubbed her arms against the slight trembling. Now that it was 'safe' to feel things, she was a bit overwhelmed by the emotions that her latest discovery instilled in her. She rarely let herself get overly emotional around people she didn't know and trust. Anger was in fact the only deep emotion she felt safe and comfortable enough to show on a regular basis. Certainly she wouldn't let anyone else see her this weak. "Ok," she started. She took a deep breath. "Sabretooth... Creed... Victor..." she took a shuddering breath. "He's my father." Then she gave a strange laugh. "And I'm pretty sure I'm a bastard." It just occurred to her now that Victor hadn't mentioned being MARRIED to her mother. In fact from what he said, she was pretty sure he hadn't been.
Troy quirked an eyebrow at Diana's behavior. She wasn't behaving as though she'd overheard someone say the meat in the stew last night had been bad. She looked visibly upset. After she spoke, he moved forward and touched his hand against her waist. The first part was waaaay worse than the second. He didn't see a problem with the second, actually, but he wasn't an 18-year-old white girl, either. He furrowed his brow together and squeezed her to him once, "Did he say anything that I need to go kick his ass over?" he wasn't as shocked at the news as he could've been. All signs pointed in that direction and it had been one of his guesses after all had been explained. "And the accepted vernacular is 'love child'." He smirked lightly at that.
