"No," he could answer quickly and definitively. "It was a mess." Mess was a good word. It was certainly an apt description of what they'd left the area looking like. Streets ripped up and pieces of concrete and brick everywhere. Scott couldn't say he was proud of that day.
"It..." Scott shook his head before running a hand through his hair. "We need to be better, that's the bottom line. Erik doesn't have half the resources we do. There's no excuse for what happened and we were lucky, to a point."
How many times had he already ranted about the day to people around the mansion? He wouldn't have been surprised if they were talking about him behind his back.
