Growing up in two very different worlds would do that for a sense of humor. Alex wasn’t even sure Scott had one, having grown up around the professor and other less humorous people. On the other hand, he was kind of forced to have one; otherwise growing up with his adoptive family would have been even worse than it was. And Scott couldn’t say catch wasn’t even fun. It was hilarious to Alex, but it’s not like it was a horrible pastime or anything. Would Scott deny his children the opportunity to play catch? Because that would be sad, and uncle Alex would obviously have to swoop in and be awesome.
“Please,” Alex rolled his eyes, leaning on the banister, arms crossed over his chest. “Don’t growl at me. You act like you don’t like catch,” he did his best not to smirk.
