It seemed like the Summers boys both had a bit of a memory issue, but at least Alex had an excuse. Scott was just forgetful. Still, at least he’d remembered (with the help of his sweet calendar) to pick Lorna up – she didn’t need to know he’d forgotten, because that’d be a never ending fight, and he wouldn’t have gotten his rock. That dumb rock. She was such a tease, and he was still a little annoyed by that. She couldn’t leave for a few days, tell him she’d gone shopping with her mother, and then proceed to giggle and grin when telling him that she had a surprise for him. What kind of horrible person does that?
Still…the rock was nice. He had a smaller version of it sitting in his collection, so it was nice to retire that piece and replace it with the new one. He at least appreciated that – but the teasing wasn’t necessary. Getting over the little tantrum he’d thrown about being teased, Alex had been on his way downstairs to look for Ms.Dane when he heard a very distinct clicking against the stairs coming up toward him.
“All the times I get yelled at for running in the house,” he mumbled before speaking up as he finally crossed paths with his beastly brother. “If you wait a second, I’ll find a ball. We can play catch.” He was an ass sometimes. Yes. And completely smug about it.
