Re: Morro, Toad & Storm
Christ. Fuck it all. He closed his eyes behind his goggles and turned his head so his face almost nestled into his shoulder with sheer frustration. The angle her neck was in was impossible for a living person, and after a few moments, he took hold of her wrist and it was confirmed. "Morro's down," Mortimer said into his headset. He didn't sound concerned - so it was clear that 'down' meant dead. There wasn't anything to do for a dead person. He scooped up her crumpled body and moved her over to the base of the tower - where she would be clear of the scuffle. This was life. People died - even pretty ones that ran their traps too much. He took a brief moment to look up to Storm and when she nodded that she would be fine at the tower by herself, he turned and swung for the next tower, using it to propel him toward the center of the battle. Those bloody mothers had busted through the wall. It was time to show them who the real mutants were.
