Oni heard Jubilee, but it sounded as if the young woman was under water, or yelling from a mile away, her attention was so focused on what was going on outside. She whirled to face the X-Woman, her face twisted up in equal parts shock and frustration. She knew this shit would happen the moment she handed her rifle over. How the hell was she going to get it back, now? She wished to God she had different powers - fairydust and fireballs - if only for a moment. Anything to not feel so god-damned helpless. After all, what good would time bending do? In the back of her mind, she was struggling to think positively or else she'd be about as useful as a second asshole, but it was so damnably hard. This was her nightmare, in the flesh.
Her face remained unguarded for scarcely a moment longer before she schooled it back into sternness, presenting a brave face. "Fine!" she yelled back. She winked at the girl, spared her a smirk, but the tension was still there in the tightness in her voice and body as she desperately asked, "We got any weapons in this joint?" She'd settle for just about anything at this point. If she could shoot something, she would feel so much better.
