Re: CO-POST: Colossus & Zap
Logan kept his sharp eyes trained on the line of trees ahead of him, waiting to catch a glimpse of the suicidal nut-cases that he would mercifully dispatch. He heard the impact of something heavy landing near the spot where he stood guard and knew who it was without so much as looking in his direction. "Well if it ain't the Tinman," he said by way of greeting, throwing him a nod and a grin that was borderline manic, "Yer just in time."
He was pleased to be joined by his fellow x-man; Pete knew the score, knew what he had to do - and Logan had no doubt that the big Russian would do more than hold his own, especially in his metal form. However, even with the help of Colossus, Logan held no deluded aspirations of winning this one. Every minute they could keep the invading hoard focused on them, and not on scaling the wall behind them, was another minute the rest of the mansion had to get its act together, time that could mean the difference between life and death for some of them.
He could hear the noise of the oncoming rush growing steadily louder, howls of the cannibals blending into one long, inhuman roar, but he'd be damned if he didn't go down fighting every step of the way. Their trampling feet made the ground tremble. Wolverine took a deep breath and tensed, bracing himself with claws unsheathed, and called out "Looks like we're about to have company. Time to bring out the welcome wagon!"
