Pietro had always been a bit of drinker, but he usually restricted it to social occasions. Alcohol tended to dull his mutation, so he tried not to do it too often, lest their enemies caught them unawares. But since Magneto (their father) had died, he had been hitting it rather hard and this worried the Scarlet Witch. She had been rather hesitant to confront him about his binge drinking, being that she didn't want him to start pushing her away (which was something he was already starting to do - to some extent, anyhow). However, she couldn't just sit idly by and allow this to continue. Her brother was heading down a very dangerous path and she wanted to save him from self-destructing; and losing another family member was not an option, especially when she perfectly capable of stopping it.
A little past midnight, Wanda quietly exited her room and crossed the hall to her brother's door. Her right hand balled into a lose fist and she gently tapped against it. When no answer came, Wanda took the initiative and opened to door (just a crack), and peeked inside. The room was blackened and (apparently) vacant as far as she could tell. For a moment, Wanda thought she should probably wait until morning to say anything to him. But if she kept putting it off, she'd never strike up enough courage to go through with the confrontation.
Pushing the door wider now, she entered her twin brother's room (they all had their own rooms now that the Brotherhood's numbers had dwindled considerably) completely and turned to flip on the switch. The light immediately clicked on, illuminating the room, albeit it dimly. She figured the wattage was lower than what was required, but it would at least help her get over to his bed without tripping on a stray shoe or whatever object might've been lurking on the floor. Once she had taken a seat on Pietro's rumble-sheeted bed, she began pondering how she should tackle this particular dilemma; something she wished to accomplish without starting World War III. Though as close as the pair undoubtedly were, even she doubted her ability to help her impetuous sibling with his problem.
