"You and Sentient designed this, didn't you?" Omen remarked to Zap on their surroundings. The castle was a near-perfect recreation of any one medieval fortress he'd seen on the History Channel. Of course, this one was furnished and well kept, so it just felt like a Kenneth Branagh set. "Real subtle on the Hogwarts items. If anyone else gets the sword of Gryffindor, I'll be pissed." He stood with his teammate and their opponents in what looked to be the center (and largest chamber) of the castle. Long wooden tables formed a square around their position and banners hung high all around. The telekine pondered over the functionality of the described clues-to-come. Be nice to have a map, Will thought. Afterwards, he realized that the system was designed so there wasn't any real need for one. And most of the time, in real life, you didn't have a map.
Zap shook her head 'no'. Before answering Will Omen, she tugged with aggravation at her gloves. She hated gloves. "The castle was the Professor's from way back... and I'm pretty sure Hank chose the items before..." well, before he had 'died'. However, she and Booger had had their hands in the mix. "The layout changes every time, so we don't really have an advantage, but I can tell you this:" and the next part was said loudly enough for their opponents to hear, "there may be a giant, mudblood-hating snake in our midst." She laughed, good-naturedly. So everyone hadn't read Harry Potter... the thought of a mammoth snake-monster was enough to amuse or terrify even the stiffest of stiffs. Her eyes caught a glimpse of one of the first color changes. One of the runners along the massive tables (to the right) began to fade from dusty gray to a brilliant purple. "First years, this way!" the electrokine called out.
Will hopped in short, jerky motions to help loosen his suit and ready his mind for the task(s) at hand. As he did this, he listened to Zap's warning. Ah. The basilisk? "Yup, gonna need that sword." Hop, hop, hop. The tablecloths began to switch color and Will flicked his eyes between the two exits of the room. He followed Zap off to the right before glancing behind one last time at their opponents. Swordy, sword, sword.
