When Eva sat and touched her shoulder, Zap sighed, happy that no one had given a second thought to the monitors. Usually she and Eva both would've been on them like white on rice. Instead, Zap shifted her absent gaze from Conlan back forward and slumped to the side against Matrix. She nodded to what the cyberpath said. She didn't really feel chatty.
She heard clinks and rattling behind them and Booger asked after Eva, then said something that both shocked and amused her. She sputtered out a laugh. Had he just more or less said, 'It's hard to believe Scott's okay and everyone else were the ones that went down'? She thought so, anyway. She chuckled a few more times, partially ashamed, and then lowered her eyes to the floor before the couch. Scott burn. "Something awful must have happened, Booger." She reasoned. They didn't know the situation, so it was hard to tell why anyone was in any condition. The team that had gone were all extremely capable, none too cocky. Okay, maybe Jean-Paul and Mars were cocky. She sighed. "I bet Brian and Aurora are frazzled..."
