Betsy hadn't the strength to use her voice at that point, so she merely nodded her understanding to her fellow X-Woman. However, the telepath had noticed the commotion happening just yards away from where they were standing. Had she just seen Dr. McCoy come back from the dead? She might've been more interested in finding out, but she was too weak to carry on.
When Shadowcat phased the two of them out of the building and made their way back to where the X-Jet, Betsy felt suddenly very sleepy. Her eyelids were already starting to droop and her feet began to drag; she was feeling severely weakened, which was probably because of all of the blood loss and the excoriating pain radiating from where she had been bitten.
Was she dying? Psylocke had experienced a similar situation where she felt like her life had been slipping away. She might've been more frightened, if she hadn't felt so exhausted. She just wanted to get off of her feet.
Back on the plane now, Betsy found the first seat closest to her and she slumped down into the chair immediately. The pain in her neck still hadn't quite subsided yet, but she kept her hand pressed over wound, applying much pressure as she could.
As Kitty readied the jet for take off, Betsy observed her through half-closed eyes. Her breathing was getting shallower and she felt herself ready to faint, but Betsy was fighting to stay conscious. Unfortunately by the time Kitty returned to her side, her will power to stay awake failed her and she passed out.
