Things had gone from bad to worse, (faster than Brian showing up for a pancake buffet) and Piotr suddenly found himself powerless to help. Darkseekers passed through him and straight for the team behind him. He grimaced at the screams from his fellow X-Men, but he couldn't risk pulling away from Kitty. She was obviously in shock and for the moment, she needed to be his top priority. Pete discarded the weapon and brought his metallic hand to Shadowcat's cheek. Pain shot through his wounded arm which was more than a little worrying. He wasn't used to feeling pain while in his metal form; whatever was happening to his body was only slowed down by his mutation. Piotr gently pressed his hand against Kitty's wound. "Da, Katya, we do." He said calmly, eyes locked with the small woman. "We need to help them, we might be the last chance." Pete didn't let on how bad the situation had gotten, he needed Kitty to pull herself together if they wanted to have any chance. "Faith, Katya." Piotr didn't know what was going to happen, but his faith gave him strength.
The roar cut the foul air like a knife and Pete tensed up. He wasn't sure he wanted to know what had made that terrible noise. Beast? No it couldn't be... He watched the doctor save Cyclops, then issue orders to the rest of the team, still speechless. Piotr glanced upward - imagining what was beyond the ceiling. He knew what was up there. He had faith. "Hold on." Piotr lifted Kitty into his arm and stomped across the floor to Betsy. He deposited her next to Britannic's twin, "I have to let go now, Katya. I have to get to Northstar." And he went.
