Damnable fools! Beast tore through the back of the library as soon as he realized that both Shadowcat and Colossus had been bitten. What had they been teaching these children?! Mars was down. Psylocke was down. Northstar, Storm... When he saw Cyclops heading into the throng of cannibals, he knew he had to act. Hank had waited until he had no choice but to reveal himself, and then he swooped into action. His massive hands and gymnastically-inclined feet pushed him across the tops of the shelves from his perch above the huge marble mantel in the back of the library. When he neared Ororo, Ronan and Scott, he flung himself down into the oncoming group, then slung his arm out to clothesline Cyclops before he could get himself hurt. He made short work of the trio that were intending to claw at his own face, sending them flinging toward a wall. His shoulder was launched purposefully into the beginning of the stacks, and he didn't wait to see the result. There were screams, however, so he assumed he had squashed several of them, if not severely pissed them off. He moved back to the two who Scott had intended to assist, scooped Mars up slung the man carefully over his shoulder. He turned back and let loose a roar to ward off the remaining attackers. It sounded far less human than ever before, and much stronger. He locked eyes with Cyclops and simply pointed downward at the form of Ororo on the floor. "Colossus," he called, "Help Northstar," his massive, blue arm waved through the dimness of the library as he called out orders to the conscious parties. "Shadowcat, go with Psylocke and prepare the jet." The two girls were closest to the door and Kitty could ensure no further harm came to either woman. He turned to see if Scott was doing as was suggested or if his old friend was staring like a dumbfounded idiot. No, it was the former. The tall, slender man was pulling Storm from the floor and turning to come after him. Good. And to think... he had entertained the idea of not watching over their mission today.
