Getting out of the mansion and on a mission was just what the telepath needed.
For the past several months, Betsy had not gotten many chances to leave the confinements of the Institute. Needless to say, when Xavier had approached her about joining in on this particular task, she practically jumped at the chance. Of course, this mission wasn't one to be entered lightly, as it entailed some considerable risks; but Psylocke was truly looking forward to getting back out into the field and back in game again--risk or not.
As they made their descent, Psylocked reached out via telepathy, feeling for the Darkseekers beyond the door ahead of them with her mind. There were at least a dozen minds she was connecting with and with them having a more primitive psychic signature, it was hard to decipher just how many there really were; they were all thinking on a similar wavelength.
Around Betsy's blue eyes, a faint (but unmistakable) purple aura had appeared; it resembled a butterfly--or at least, its wings. This normally occurred whenever Psylocke was in a deep state of concentration.
"There are at least a dozen that I can sense," but there was probably more lurking beyond the ones that were standing closest to the door. Xavier had said there were nearly a hundred of them, after all.
