The look Levity had given her had said it all. Wren's shoulders immediately became tense and she began squinting, straining to see if she could make out any of the Darkseekers through the semi-darkness. She couldn't, of course. They were probably still a little ways off, but it probably wouldn't be much longer until they'd be upon them.
Don't panic, she found herself chanting this mantra in her head, over and over again. Panicking would only make things worse and she really didn't want to be the one to loose her cool. Wren might've been new to the team, but she was no stranger when it came to dealing with these creatures. They had to get out of there and fast, lest they became part of the Darkseekers' menu.
After the longest half of minute of her life, she glanced over at Levity again. They did need to get out of there. They needed to move fast, but if they moved too fast, there was a distinct possibility that that could complicate matters further.
"What's the plan?" she whispered to Edana, while she clutched onto her own duffle bag. Wren thought it might've been a good idea for the other two to go ahead and get the bags out to the Hummer, while they finished up getting what they had to. As long as they kept moving, they'd probably have a better chance of avoiding conflict.
