Kitty's eyes fell. She thought that he had done more right than just this, but now was hardly the time to express some pride or approval. Plus, she didn't really want to deal with any backlash that would inevitably come from someone like her taking any kind of happiness from the actions of someone like him. They hadn't really talked seriously about anything, and for that, Kitty was grateful. Bobby always seemed to want to have 'long talks to discuss their relationship' or something; Kitty humored him, but she appreciated letting bygones be bygones.
While she mulled that over, John appeared to mull something over as well. Raising her gaze, she smirked and said, "I think you actually want to match my - ahem - off-white dress, and you didn't want to be so obvious about it. That's okay, though, John. We can say it was a coincidence." She had caught Drake's nickname but ignored it. John wouldn't care about whatever history she and Bobby shared. It wasn't like this was a date, right? Her mentioning it would be silly. He probably already knew. Instead, she watched with an amused expression as he paced and fiddled.
