It wasn't like things were tight at the school - it was just the mood. John totally knew what Kitty was getting at. And he agreed wholeheartedly with 'better busy than not'. He'd been spending as much time as his brain would let him on bits and pieces of a story that was in his head - holed up in his (and Pete's) room. The pyrokine moved further into the room and sat casually on the foot of Shadowcat's bed while he looked around for a moment. Things hadn't really changed. He smiled at that and then looked back to the room's owner. "You goin' to the shindig?" the Aussie wondered. "I mean, with someone?"
He had been mulling over whether he should even go or not, and if so, who with. It hadn't entered his mind until he'd set eyes on Kitty again to ask her. Who better? She always looked on the bright side, she wasn't overly perky, and it would probably chap Frosty's ass a bit to see him dancing with the Sneaky One. "'Cause I totally have a tux."
