After peeling from his flesh the sparkling white claws that were Emma Frost's, Scott had returned to Jean's side with a renewed enthusiasm (which was saying something, as he'd been grinning like a school boy until their parting). Currently, he was starting to get that pesky ache in the bottoms of his feet and up through his legs - things that happened when you did things with your body it wasn't used to doing everyday. Like, say, the Tootsie Roll? He didn't let that gem out of the treasure chest in the Danger Room very often. In any case, he had been happy to oblige when his fiery goddess suggested they sit once again. They had yet to exchange words about their encounters with Diamond and Avalanche, but he supposed it might come up later; the bedroom? He took care to avoid the topic, choosing to discuss instead the sweet memories (which he preferred over the nastier ones) of the past. Also, there were several mentions of their students' actions reflecting things he, Jean, Hank, Lorna and Storm had done in the past.
The dance floor was clearing up a bit, and thankfully so. When Edana made her beeline to the Braddocks, Scott had assumed where things were headed. He personally knew the girl had spunk, more so than most of the X-Men. Had Mars been in the pavilion, things between the girls might've been avoided. But Scott hadn't the chance to stand, bark an order or run to intervene before he saw Betsy fall back against Brian's arm, get righted, then speak calmly to Levity. He swallowed hard, jaw clenched, then glanced to his red-haired date. The Professor had long-since gone inside the school. Storm was dancing with Logan, therefore closer to the scene. "Do you think we should let them handle it?" Their girls had been behaving way worse than the boys, lately. But he couldn't really blame them when the young men behaved like Brian had been.
