"That's up to you, I'd say." Erik enjoyed he and Charles' games of cat and mouse (often times with roles reversed). He watched the bald man pause and his lips formed a pout before he added, "I was thirsty, so you know." As if their drink had been the topic that Xavier had suggested they discuss.
Xavier was a tease. Magneto wasn't at all surprised by the sudden desire to interrogate. He knew Charles better than most, and he assumed Charles believed he knew Erik Lensherr better than anyone else. The master of magnetism still had a few surprises hidden away someplace.
"Charles," he began, his voice sincerely amiable, "a few years ago, I attempted to annihilate the homo sapiens race. While I know you believe your opinions of me are fact and stone, I would like to point out that your men have done away with more infected human beings than any of my Brotherhood combined." Perhaps excluding Victor. "I didn't come to your doorstep seeking information or to sabotage. I came to you for shelter and offered our assistance, wherever it should be needed. What would you have me do, now? What would Charles Xavier ask of his oldest friend on the eve of a new world?"
