Brian found his twin's hand tangled amongst the bedding and gave it a squeeze before bringing it to his lips and kissing the side of it. He shifted so it rested in his lap for a moment before he released her again, then shifted so he was facing the blonde woman better. He fought a frown at her negativity. He didn't like that kind of talk - whether she was being humble or being legitimately upset. She was gorgeous and he knew she was aware of it. Her comment had been offhanded, though, so he didn't linger.
"This whole 'prom' business - what do you think?" he began, generally. "I was thinking we should really wow them and pop in together. You know, matching tie and dress and the whole nonsense." As if they hadn't had enough of that in their younger days. Oh! Matching outfits! Great, mum.
"Unless you've had another offer... in which case, dear sister," his faux-surrender to some unnamed man was as over-acted here as it could be, "I would humbly withdraw."
