Shan wasn't very interested in smart talk or witty conversation, mostly because she had a week's worth of papers to grade. Jean-Paul had been a bit neglectful of some of his classes lately, it was becoming a bit troublesome but she understood how to deal with the Frenchman. Shan would let him sulk around for a while until he got his head straight. Jean-Paul was worth a little drama now and then.
So after a morning working in the library (her second home), the librarian found someplace outside the vast Xavier hall of records where she could work in peace. The librarian rarely found quiet in the library; nobody understood the Dewey decimal system.
Arms loaded down with a stack of papers and her business attire a little worse for wear, she spotted the lovely Emma Frost sitting by herself with a red marker in her hand. Good, she was also grading some papers. That always made for some fun critiquing. Not that teachers shared their students' work with each other for a good laugh... No, not ever. She may not have been that interested in conversation but she would make an exception for Diamond.
The snake appeared suddenly and stood before Emma, but that didn't matter much to Karma. She passed in between Poison and Diamond without acknowledging the poisonous woman. Karma landed in the large leather seat next to the foxy blonde and set her papers on the small table. "Professeur Beaubier essaie ma patience. I hope I'm not intruding Ms. Frost." Shan spoke to Emma with a soft smile and almost immediately slipped her feet out of her heels before she gave a relieved sigh.
