She hadn't been sitting there for more than five minutes before Ororo came a-knocking at the door.
As soon as her best friend entered the bedroom, Jean smiled widely - both at 'Ro, herself, as well as at bowl of pretzels she had been toting along with her.
"It has been a long time," longer than Jean was willing to admit, actually. She knew they hadn't done this sort of thing in a couple years, at least. Maybe even longer, since their lives had been turned upside down for the past few years. It didn't leave a lot of room for a lot friendly bonding.
"Come on, sit down," she told Ororo, patting an empty spot beside where she sitting. It was almost kind of awkward to be doing this now, all things considered. But, this just part of the process of rebuilding her relationships. Jean hated that things had gotten so strained, but that's what happened when you lost control of yourself and tried to destroy everything you held near and dear to your heart.
Trust was going to be something she'd have to earn back from all those who had gotten caught in the crossfire. And she was willing to wait as long as she needed to, to do just that - even if it did get a little frustrating at times.
Seconds later, Lorna had entered the room with a bagful of treats. Looked like they'd have be hitting the gym pretty hard in the morning, but that was the least of her worries.
"Hey Lorna," she said. And once she green-haired lady had come to sit down next to her, Jean reached over to grab the DVDs, then she proceeded to hand a few to each of them to look at.
She wasn't going to picky about what they'd watch. Especially seeing that Jean hadn't really paid too much attention to the titles. Basically, she had grabbed whatever looked fun and entertaining, and more importantly, lighthearted.
