He had just parted ways with Will for the next several hours and the Native was already feeling the threat of boredom on the horizon. The place was dead. There were a few places where he was sure he could find a body - most of which involving food. Seeing as Troy had just stuffed his face with Will (who was dumb, 'cause he was getting on a jet with Ronan piloting), he opted for the alternative - a doctor. When he reached the first floor, the young man headed down the hall, opposite the Professor's usual stomping ground. Eddie would be in her office, he guessed. Brian was going on the mission and it was mid-day. If there wasn't a crazy getting a check up, he'd drop in and see what the doe-eyed lass was up to. He knocked once and adjusted the waist of his jeans while he waited. "Ed?"
It had been a surprisingly slow day, which both pleased her and made her somewhat sad at the same time. She was happy to have some free time to do what she liked, yet the person she wanted to spend time with was going on the mission today. She hadn't seen as much of Brian lately as she would have liked and it bummed her out. She drove those thoughts from her mind as she looked up to the door after she'd heard the knock. She smiled when she recognized Troy's voice. It had been a while since she had seen the Native for more than a few minutes at a time and she was glad for a distraction from her thoughts. "Come on in, Troy." she called, setting her magazine down on the desk.
Troy pushed through the door and pocketed his hands immediately afterwards, opting to use his foot to close the door behind him. "How's my favorite shrinky-dink t'day?" Oh, he knew it was bad. "Heard anything juicy?" his features remained straight until he reached the arm chair opposite her on the other side of her desk, and then finally grinned as he stepped up over the back, down into the seat, and plopped his butt down, hands still in pockets. "Bad news." His face fell a bit, "I think they moved their stash." 'They' meaning whomever was responsible for the marijuana.
Eddie laughed out loud at Troy's antics as he made his way into one of the chairs. "I'm doing all right." Something juicy, huh? Well, she couldn't very well talk about her patients to anyone, as there were rules about privacy and all that jazz. In some cases, that was unfortunate because some of the things she'd heard were funny as hell. She pursed her lips together briefly in thought, "I'm afraid I don't have anything juicy to dish out right at this moment, but when I hear something you'll be the first to know, okay?" The smile she gave him changed to a look of concern and she laughed when she realized what he was referring to. "Where did you find the first stash? Because I heard that someone was trying to grow some in the middle of the labyrinth a while back." Which didn't make much sense to her because didn't pot need to have sun to grow? If it was in a hedge maze it wouldn't receive much. People could be so dense sometimes.
"Shit, that's wilted and dead." He'd been around the block and covered all the bases. "Well, I gotta keep up on my gossip," he said, reverting back to their first topic of discussion, "so if you don't have anything to dish, I'm gonna need to borrow that Cosmo," he reached out and nabbed the periodical. The dark one skimmed through the first few pages of ads and found the table of contents. "Oooh, 10 new ways to please your man in bed." He flipped to said page and began skimming, glancing up at the PhD when one of the numbers on the list was boring. Most of them were. Shit, he knew he wouldn't want half of this done to him, so he knew it wouldn't impress Will. "So do you think I'd look better in a two piece or what?" he flipped the book around to display the section he'd just found. 'What suit is right for your body type?' The previously unhealthily thin fellow had gained some bulk since the world's crashing, but lately he'd been leery of the pool. Bad things happened in the pool.
She shrugged and smiled when he brushed off her suggestion. She'd tried to help. She'd leave the marijuana finding to the experts. She watched him as he grabbed the magazine and flipped through it. "Yeah..." she said, when he read a few of the ideas for man pleasing. "Brian read through those and told me no on most of them." She giggled when he asked her about swimsuits. "Hmm..." her hand went to her chin as she thought about it. "I think a two piece is the way to go for you. Especially with that new rockin' body of yours." she decided finally, pointing to the page with a grin. "I like blue one."
"Hah," he looked when she pointed and blushed - yes, he blushed - when she mentioned his hard-earned physique. With nothing to do but eat, smoke and sit around, he and Will had taken to hitting the gym - majorly. He squinted at the image she was suggesting. "That's the kind fat chicks wear," he complained. It was a pair of blue shorty shorts and a blue halter boob-sling. "But my ass would look nice in the shorts." He smirked. Nah. He didn't need no chick suit, his black X-shorts were fine for him. Or nothing at all. No one really knew how often he swam without pesky clothes. "It's nuts how much this shit costs," he remarked. $40 for the shorts, $35 for the top. Where the fuck were these broads swimming that they needed to spend that much coin on a flopper-stopper? Troy went over the things Eddie had shared once more before shifting the magazine back onto her desktop. "You and Brian cool now, then?"
"It is not." she stuck her tongue out at him, and agreed on the shorts looking good on his ass. "I certainly wouldn't pay that." She also wouldn't pay four hundred dollars for an ugly pair of hot pink hooker boots trimmed in faux fur. Her smile faltered slightly when Troy asked about Brian. "Honestly, I don't see him as often as I'd like. We've both been really busy." she sighed. Brian tended to work late and she was wrapped up with her job, so it made things difficult when it came to being romantic. "I was hoping to spend all day with him today," (She'd checked her schedule a few days before.) "But as you know, they're on a mission...so that's not gonna happen." She hoped that they found what they were looking for and that everyone got back safely. She pushed back her sadness and put on another smile, "How are you and Will doing?" she asked, wanting to change the subject.
"Fucking great," Troy said, sincerely. It even surprised him. He was nearly beaming, but he slouched a bit in his chair and made a dismissive gesture with his right hand. "If it's problems in the bedroom, I can give Brian a few pointers. Seems like he'd be lacking in that area." Of course, Troy was joking. Brian didn't seem to be lacking in any area, and that seemed to be the general consensus. He grinned, "I followed Will around until he suited up," he shared. He didn't add that he'd helped the other man out of his clothes so he could into his suit. "I mean, what. We were chillaxin' and he was like, 'I gotta run, dude' and I was like 'Koo' and he took off. Whatever."
Eddie laughed at Troy's explanations. Brian was wonderful in the bedroom...when he was there. She kicked herself for thinking that way while Brian was risking his life to (hopefully) retrieve items that would help to save the world from its semi-apocalypse. She smiled a sad smile when Troy told her he'd followed Will around like a puppy. Brian had been acting odd around her all day. Maybe it was because he was nervous about the mission. She'd tried to ask him what was the matter, but he'd brushed her off with a kiss to the forehead and a 'Don't worry yourself, love.' She once again forced those feelings from her mind so she could focus on Troy's words. His happy vibes were pouring out and it made her feel better. "Good. I'm glad you guys are doing so well." She loved both boys and wanted them to be happy.
There seemed to be a transfer between the two, as Troy had begun picking up on Eddie's worrisome and partially guilty feelings. Something wasn't setting right - but Eddie's final words emoted a more chipper 'tude, so Troy wasn't going to press. But his plan to clown around until Will came back safe was starting to feel a little thin. He sighed a bit where he was slouching and looked across to Eddie. "I like," whew, "can't lose him Ed. Fuck. Ya know?" His forehead crinkled with worry lines and Troy pushed his hands back through his hair, then let them rest on his neck. "God damn it."
"I know what you mean." she nodded, then smiled a small smile. Brian was super strong and had force fields, but he was wasn't invincible. "Hey," she scooted her chair back so she could stand and then moved to the other side of the desk and took the vacant seat next to him. There. She didn't feel so... professional now. "It'll be okay." she assured him. She wasn't sure if she was trying to convince herself of that as well as Troy.
"Yeah." Troy nodded and slouched further still, this time to knock his knee into Levity's. "You got nothin' to worry about," he told her, giving her a charming, half smile. He hated feeling like a woman, so having Eddie around when she was feeling the same way helped. He could be the strong, lady-supporter. "If shit gets too thick, Brian'll fly his ass back here come hell or high water." The latter being more likely in present company.
