Zap/Britannic
Being the resident scientist and doctor, Brian felt obligated to join the conversation, and was also relieved for the change of topic. He nodded his thanks to Bobby after casting a devilish glance toward Poison. "Yes, Eva," he agreed, thankful for the input. "There could be military or armed civilian survivors. Most likely those individuals would be immune or utilizing gas masks. Most people would be indoors. There could be any combination of those groups and Darkseekers. But I think the first group would be our biggest difficulty." His eyes shifted subconsciously to Logan.
"As soon as things cool off after sundown, that's when we'll exit the jet and I think if there's any normal human activity, we'll know by then. The Darkseekers should leave the building if they're able to go and hunt." He fought a shudder here. "You've all been given copies of the floor plans and room purposes, so look over those and get familiar. There's a lot of territory." He gestured to the folders that were tucked here and there in opened bins about the place. "Once we get closer to time, we'll bring up the holographic layout," which Matrix had uploaded, "and go over who is going where for what." To be honest, more than half of the team was defense.
Zap was still concentrating on figuring out the sly look Ronan had given Brian, but when Iceman and the Brit started talking seriously, she tuned in. Eva pitched in, which meant it was probably an important topic. Her fellow femme techie wasn't shy, she just didn't prattle on a lot. So when she spoke, Zap paid attention. "So why am I on the nerd team?" Zap wondered to Brian, grinning.
Brian shifted his eyes from side to side, trying to decide if he was simply going to ignore Miss Pallaton or not. Finally, "Birds of a feather, love," he told her. Then winked to Iceman, who was just as much warrior as nerd. He'd fight along side Mars or Bobby any day. "For now, though, feel free to bust out the cards for some thrilling rounds of solitaire."
