Eva Garza ; ``Matrix`` (cyberpathy) wrote in x_aftermath_x, |
Matrix had been geared up and ready to go for a little while, but she had hung back to do a few more last minute check ups on a few of the computers - just in case they got waylaid in DC longer than they expected. It was just the responsible thing to do, or at least that's what most workaholics would chalk it up to be if they were ever to be questioned about their OCD habits. But, everyone who had known Eva Garza long enough would most likely be privy to her little quirks by now.
It would seem that the mystery of "Rainbow Bright" had been solved long ago, but there still might've been a few mysteries to unravel yet.
As Matrix entered the Blackbird II, those already on board would notice that Rainbow Bright wasn't, well, so bright anymore. When she first caught wind of the mission, Eva had taken the liberty to dye her hair a more conservative shade of brown (which had been pulled back into a neat ponytail). Her dayglo tresses might've looked pretty (depending on the person's taste), but they weren't exactly the best thing to possess when one was trying to sneak into a high security facility like, oh say, the Pentagon. One would find that it would be most prudent to blend in as best as they could in such a place.
Matrix was all about the logic.
"Hey guys," Eva said; it a simple greeting, but it would do. She wasn't always known to be the chatty sort and besides that, Eva didn't want to disturb the amusing banter that had been going back and forth; she had heard them over the comlink, which was firmly placed over ear, with the mouthpiece curving around her jaw to meet her mouth.
"Everything ready to go?" she asked to no one in particular, as she had settled down onto her seat of choice and began strapping herself in. She figured someone would answer her.
