Wren was glad that this newfound information was taken in stride, since a lot of people got bent out of shape whenever someone tried enlightening them about something they had very little knowledge of. She definitely tried not to sound too much like a know-it-all when it came to such things, however.
She gave a small laugh and a shake of the head when she heard Zap's reply about people having been nice to her. "The people are certainly more friendly here than back at the mall," where they had been trying to kill and eat her. There mere thought of that place sent a shiver up her spine and she grimaced somewhat. Yuck.
"He's very nice," Wren agreed with a small nod of her head. She didn't really know Pete that well, but he seemed nice enough when she had met him. However, when she mentioned the man was a painter, her interest in him seemed to be renewed.
"A painter, really? Maybe I'll be able to get him to let me see some of his work sometime." It would be nice to be able to indulge in art while she was there, after all. Not to mention the fact she really needed to start connecting with the people staying there. What better way to do that but bond over similar interests?
"Assuming he likes showing off his paintings." Some artists were extremely overprotective, or simply shy of showing off their work. Either way, they might be able to cultivate some kind of friendship. Maybe.
