Zap nodded as Wren spoke and when she was through speaking about her book, "Ahhh," was the response. That made sense. She laughed a little, feeling a bit dumb, but took it with a grain of salt.
"That's a switch," she remarked, in response to most people having been nice to Wren, so far. She was half-joking, of course. No one was ever really mean to anyone else. At least not amongst the X-Men. Sometimes they were a bit ... tough? Grumpy?
The electrokine kept her ear open, however, looking for the true answer to her question. She took note when Magneto was mentioned, of course. Mr. Lensherr? It seemed so formal for the man who had plotted to take over the world so many times and to kill countless, innocent lives. Maybe Wren was a formal gal. Kurt - now that made sense. Anyone who seemed down came out sunny on the other side after having a chat with Nightcrawler. Zap would hang out with Kurt all day, if he'd have her.
And then there was Pete. She'd guessed it was true. She sighed a bit and nodded after all was said and done. "Pete's a sweetheart," she said, fondly, trying her best not to give too much weight to the words. Things were over between them. She wasn't even sure why she was so interested if this girl had spoken to him. It was hardly fair of her to feel this way. "Real good guy." Enter earnest smile. "Hey - he, um, he's a painter. Y'know? You might have something in common." The girl seemed hep on artists, after all. "He's done some great stuff."
