Grateful that Brian wasn't pushing it further, Betsy continued to smile. Their mental link was both a blessing and a curse, but she'd never want to be without it. It allowed them uncanny insight into each other's moods, which left little room for unpleasant surprises. However, it kind of got annoying when you couldn't conceal your true feelings when you didn't want anyone else to know. Though, being a telepath allowed her to disguise things from her brother ever so often.
"I see her around every so often." Betsy's social habits had sort of become screwy since the Cure Virus became a globe epidemic. Even before that, however, Betsy had been taken on characteristics that were more akin to a loner than a social butterfly. And while what had happened before didn't change the core of who she was, she still felt different somehow.
"Warren? We're still in the same boat we were before," she said, disappointment evident within her voice. She had been trying to make her intentions known to Angel, but he was either A.) too shy to admit that he had feelings for her, or B.) wasn't interested in her at all and was trying to spare her feelings. She didn't quite believe in option B, though.
"I've been giving him some space..." It seemed like a popular trend around there these days.
