It was nice to be touched, it sent a warm feeling over Joe. The lab could get so cold and lonely that sometimes he wanted to randomly hug Brian like he was a big teddy-bear. But since Jean-Paul, the only warmth he got was from his lab coat. Joe smiled to acknowledge Gus and looked down to his feet while leaning against one of the machines.
"I'm not moping around the mansion. It's not like I burst into tears at the mention of him either, I just wish things would have gone differently. I don't really have any enemies here and to have someone hate every ounce of my being really hurts. He acts like he's the only one that put his emotions on the line and then he tells me to leave the room like I was some dog...then..."
Joe cut himself off, he was beginning to ramble.
He was more angry about it than sad, he just didn't know how to put it in the right words. Perhaps things were getting too personal for an open discussion.
"I better get back to work, I'll see you guys later," he said before departing the room.
