Jamie looked up from where he was amusing himself, an old habit, and adopted a wide eyed look. He gestured with one hand to his chest. "Me?" He looked at the girls then back at Toad. "You really think so?" He picked up the porksteak. "No," he voiced for it. "I'm not USDA approved!"
He stepped in quickly to grab the skillet, deftly sliding the prepared meat into the pan. "Watch out boys and girls, Chef Maddox is in the house!" He slapped his hand against his side and soon he had a small collection of himselves digging around for ingredients and supplies. He had been waiting so as to not crowd Toad, especially since he needed the stove too.
He gave a jaunty wave to Zap. "Hey there, sorry if I upset you. I'll work on my material. Maybe fuzzy puppets. Hmm... showing the finer arts of slaughter on puppets. Sounds like prime kiddie material to me." Well, he had been pretty young when his dad had taught him the real thing. It was just a fact of farm life. "Do we have a lambchop puppet around here?"
