Mort couldn't help smirking. He's stirred something up in both young ladies - whether in their favor or annoyance, and that pleased him. So, he pushed forward, moving up to step between them and joining their (momentarily slowed) pace. "I dunno about you lot, but I'm absolutely starved." It probably wasn't far from the truth. Any extra pounds on Toad had gone by the wayside during their stay at Xavier's. But, they were all sure to slim down no matter where they made their nests. Food was scared and work was plenty.
"I haven't eaten today..." Zap said, mostly to herself. Her eyes were focused on Eva up until she thought it might be awkward if the other woman glanced back toward her and caught her staring. She couldn't help it. Eva had looked a bit tickled at the arrival of Toad. Zap herself had once entertained the idea of spending more time with him. He was sheer madness, though. You couldn't really tell what he might do next.
"I haven't eaten this week." Nothing to speak of. Toad smirked, however, attempting not to come off as a whiner, "You've been remembering to nibble on something, right?" he was looking toward Eva now, the women he knew tried to live off coffee and power naps.
