Matrix could relate to Thorn's non-talkative nature, as it seemed to be the one thing the two shared in common. Other than that, there really wasn't much else she knew about the man... you know, except for being able to control plants and having green hair. Eva probably had him beat with the hair, though. She'd never met anyone else with rainbow colored hair before, nor did she ever expect to in her entire life time. Unless she had kids, but she never really thought that was a realistic possibility, considering her anti-date behavior and all.
"It is hard, but I think things could be a lot worse," Eva pointed out, smiling somewhat. Though, she knew Zap probably felt the same way. Everyone was probably grateful to have each other in these trying times, but not everyone would be so willing to admit that aloud... namely the Brotherhood, and probably Wolverine.
"I have a feeling they will find a cure soon... I mean, it's just a matter of time, isn't it?"
The medical savvy members of their staff had been working 24/7 for many months now, trying to find a antidote for the Cure Virus. And if anyone in the world could save the rest of humanity, it was them. Eva had that much faith left to muster, even now, months later.... Of course, like anyone, she had her days when she thought there was no hope to be had; but it generally passed and she'd quickly regain that confidence in her colleagues.
Just then, the doors opened to reveal the wood paneled hallway and Eva disembarked off of the elevator in a timely fashion. The hall was still illuminated by the afternoon sunlight, which was streaming in from the windows the lined the hallway.
