He flushed with slight embarrassment. "I wasn't aware actually." He admitted. He played nervously with the plants in front of him. He shrugged slightly, still not looking at Storm. He sighed. "I... am not sure if that would really be the best way to go." He really didn't know WHAT the best thing to do was.
Finally he turned around. "I AM with the brotherhood, Ms Munroe. I'm not going to betray those I've given my loyalties to." Not his brother, despite their current problems. Not Wanda, despite his worries about being involved with her. Not Rogue, though she might be just as ready to jump ship. He may not really know what to do, but he felt it was far too late to be one of her people.
With that small stand done, he felt awkward and uneasy. He wasn't really used to showing much of any resistance to people. He quickly returned to his work, and decided to ask a question that had been plaguing him. "If you don't mind me asking, how exactly DO you find the people you bring here... back before the plague and all." If she was a headmistress then she might actually know that answer.
