Galen had been checking out the area on the grounds that had been set aside for growing before going to the greenhouses. He was not at all surprised to see that Ororo was already at the greenhouses when he arrived. As he entered the room he gave her a quiet smile. "Hello, Ms. Munroe."
Then he frowned and looked as if he was listening to something. He headed over to the sprinklers and started making adjustments as if tending to some request. As he worked he said. "I was checking the outside gardens. The plants we put there like the area a lot. Though the weeds are very disgruntled." He shook his head with both amusement and a bit of sadness. "Poor things are so upset that they aren't seen as important as the rest." He felt at ease speaking this way about the plants he tended to with Ororo. Despite his powers being what they were, many of his fellow brotherhood looked at him strangely when he spoke as if plants could speak. "But they will keep to their promise. I think things will be better when we let one of the fields go fallow and we can let the weeds overtake it."
He finished what he had been working on and gave Ororo his full attention. "Is there anything weather-wise I should know about?" He knew that despite her control over the elements, it would be unwise to keep all inclement weather away. They had to take into consideration the natural order of things. When using his own powers, he knew he couldn't push the vegetation they were going to eat to grow too quickly. For decent food, it had to have time to ripen and get nutrients out of the soil. He could help with that, but pushing it too far would ruin everything. Ororo's powers did help with this task a lot as anything that had to be allowed could at least be planned for. Between her ability with the elements and his with the plants, he had no doubt that they would have a very good yield from this crop.
